Tri-Township starts National Championship Run with a 9-0 victory

The Dream continues for Tri-Township this weekend as they vye for a return back to the Babe Ruth National World Series in Ephrata Washington. For the sixth consecutive year, Tri-Township Baseball from Wrightstown, PA, is representing Bucks County in State Babe Ruth, and it again has high hopes to make it back to national stage where just a few years ago it was just 1 strike away from a national championship during an incredible 22-1 national tournament run. Although the young men playing this weekend are not the same players as then, they retain the same heart, soul and talent that made that Tri-Township team special and everyone proud to say they represented Bucks County. Teamwork, comradary, and hard work make enjoyable by their coaches that model excellence in all that one does on and off the field.

Tri Township has started the State Tournament off strong with an impressive 9-0 win, but they are not resting on any one game.  Every game, every moment matters during this tournament run to a National Championship.  To those who cannot get to Pine Forge, www.tritownship.com will update the scores and brackets daily as we follow our hometown team.

Yet another tournament run is symbolic of what Tri-Township Baseball stands for---excellence on and off the field, in effort and by example. Although many recognize Tri-Township baseball as the home to the National World Series runner-ups and participants in 2014 and 2011, and champions of many regional tournaments, Tri-Township Baseball's  greatest success remains the love of the game and development of skills it has offered players of all ages and abilities for seven decades.
The cornerstone of Tri-Township baseball's success, is its long-standing history of providing high quality baseball opportunities, skill building, and enjoyment programs for all ages five through adult at one family-friendly baseball complex on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds. Here, everyone feels like they are learning and playing the game like the big leagues. Its never starts too early, as even the smallest tee-ball players have their own field with cut baselines, stands and fans.  The league comes together as the best coaches and older players lead clinics for the upcoming players.   Quality, individualized, team, and league-wide instruction continues through the years with FUNstruction --individual skill development, followed by fun team drills that allow players to enjoy learning how they can be better players and teammates. This FUNstruction commitment continues through the years as the players progress through the program and increasingly advanced skills and concepts are taught.
Even as this team competes nationally, other teams are playing in regional tournaments, and new ones will be forming as well.  Tri-Township has found a way to incorporate baseball offerings for all, and this fall will be no different.  For those who seek higher level of commitment their will be a travel based Fall league tryouts will be July 26th and August 2nd for all ages between 8 and 15.    For those seeking some more classic FUNstruction, there will be October clinics where skill based sessions are followed by baseball games at their home field on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds.
